College Visits

Student feedback from the Islam awareness sessions was very positive. All students commented on their much improved understanding. The sessions were very engaging and delivered in a dynamic way. We would highly recommend Imran to all schools and colleges who are looking for more innovative ways to promote tolerance and respect of other’s religious beliefs.

Imran Kotwal spent two days with staff and learners at Lakes College holding tutorial sessions across the curriculum giving our learners an insight into Islam. All learners were engaged right from the start and feedback has been excellent leaving our learners better informed and reinforcing our college value to show respect for all members of our society. We would recommend Imran and The Muslim Learning Service to all colleges and look forward to working with Imran in the future.

Imran Kotwal was a significant contributor to Pendleton College’s achievement of Learning and Skills Beacon Status in 2005 but, in my opinion, was THE catalyst for the college in achieving the AoC Beacon Award for Equality and Diversity the following year. His drive and infectious enthusiasm is motivated not by personal ambition but by deep conviction and immersion in a faithful life. Given his own resolute faith, his respect for, and empathy with, other faiths is remarkable and sadly too rare. He has the ability to bring together people of all ages, with or without faith, in peaceful and serious contemplation of what faiths mean to those of faith. He draws the sting from the most partisan views by his own example of calm, informed understanding and tolerance. Imran personally, and the structures and practices he established, made a huge contribution to establishing a purposeful, tolerant and friendly ethos in the college. I believe he is a truly gifted individual and a role model we should all aspire

Imran Kotwal, Founder of Muslim Learner Services came into the Technical Academy to deliver a session to our students on Islamic Awareness. The interactive session was well attended by both students and lecturers and was delivered in a light hearted and friendly way. Imran answered a number of questions that were raised by the students clarifying a number of preconceptions and beliefs the students had prior to the session. Overall the feedback from attendees was excellent with most commenting that they all took something positive from the session.
